Camping

As its almost the end of school lots of fun things are being organised, especially at the primary school. This week is outdoor week, all activities were meant to be outdoors, and aren't we having some torrential rain? Typical!

Little Miss tried her hand at sailing on Tuesday, waterproof trousers were required for this. That's ok, I knew we had some. We tried them on on the day of the trip, I'm organised you see! And they were a perfect fit, well perfect if the waistband was supposed to be level with her ears!! No time to get new ones so they had to do. (You can imagine she was pleased about that!)

And Today/tonight they are having their overnight camp in the school field. Lots of campfires, cooking your own food and midnight feasts no doubt. We pick them up tired and probably very grumpy tomorrow at 3pm. Before they come home there will be a short presentation ceremony where certificates are handed out. You know the kind of thing, most helpful pupil, tidiest tent, best cook etc etc.....

I just hope Little Miss doesn't get the same award as last year..........

I don't know where she gets it from.........................

  1. Maybe this year she will have beaten her old record! Good to see the teachers had a sense of humour about it though.

  2. Overnight camping sounds like a lot of fun! Oh to be able to chatter till 3.45 a.m. I'm as dead as a dodo these days by midnight! I remember when KP had a sleep over at school - not much sleeping went on then either as when she got home she went straight to bed where she remianed dead to the world for most of the day!

  9. Hello Jay

Well so you too log on on a monday morning, and you have a young family. Mine (4)are all grown and flown, so it was lovely reading back on your blog, it brought some lovely memories of holidays and weekends away, the excitement of a mouse in the garden and awards. These days I am the grand mother of three and remarried to a lovely man whose children are also grown and flown.. but we love our life and have had a week away a couple of years away in Sheringham, one of our favourite places. Norfolk is such a beautiful place and I envy your two cottages house, it looks amazing. Love your new kitchen, we too have just renovated ours so I am happy. We live in Billericay, in Essex so not too far from you. Its a lovely place to live and as we live on the edge of the town we are quite out in the country. I have signed on to follow your blog, so I shall pop back to see what you and your family get up to. I read right back to when you started, my blog is mainly cross stitch and now patch. quilting which I am loving doing.
Hope the rain isn't too bad where you are, its pouring here but compared to some we are blessed.
    Happy Days Jay
    Chris xx
