  3. Ha! It's just like when my boys were in the services - first thing they did when they got home was to head for the washing machine!

    1. He didn't actually head for the washing machine, more in the direction of the chocolate cake I'd made him! The heaving of the rucksack towards the laundry room was me!

    1. Boy don't I know it! A day of cricket in Middlesex with regular radio updates then home to watch the match on TV - not me of course, my head's in a book!

    1. Thanks for coming over to my blog, the towel & flannel don't look like they've been used, but all the socks look like they've had a mud bath!

  8. If the amount of clothes equals what it was like then I bet he had a wonderful time!
Thank goodness the weather is sunny and it can all get dry.

  11. Your picture has me smiling and don't actually know why. Maybe it's nostalgia - it is a little nice to be needed. And to have them safely home.

  12. Right location, not quite the right action. I tell my kids, "the clothes go IN the washer" and "the dishes go IN the dishwasher." But it doesn't do me too much good!

  13. Oh no, hope you have nice sunny weather for that lot. My youngest is about to leave for camp on Monday, so I'll soon be washing a pile like that. Why is it, even the clothes they don't wear still stink and need a wash?
